Introduction
EGYPTAIR Holding Company, represented by the General Planning Division,
initiates the process towards a documented business plan for the group,
through the Higher Committee for Strategic Planning headed by the EGYPTAIR
HC Chairman to review and approve the final business plan for the group and
its subsidiaries, prepared by the Technical Committee for Strategic
Planning.
The project was launched in January 2006 and subdivided into two main
phases:
1- to define a clear and simple Vision & Mission for the group and allocate
the Strategic Goals for each subsidiary.
2- to prepare and issue the Strategic Plan for each subsidiary depending on
the pre-specified strategic goals..
Hereunder the EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING Strategic Plan document for a period of 5 years
ahead (2007/2012), keeping in mind that this is the first trial based on a
documented, well-organized strategic plan.
This Strategic Plan is the basis for further planning cycles and finally
resulting in achieving the project target set out in the Business Plan.

Segmentation
EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING segments the market into 3 categories:
Partnership:
Those main customers with an exclusive agreement for maintenance & services
(mainly EGYPTAIR Airline, EGYPTAIR Cargo, Express).
Eventually:
Those customers with individual contracts for each event (i.e maintenance
check) or service.
Ad-hock:
Those customers with rarely (step-by services) to ask for a service or spare
part.
